A letterhead is a stationery element that unifies your printed correspondence with your brand. Letterheads are used for printed letters & formal digital communications to maintain a branded feel. Companies use letterheads for important correspondence only.

For example, a college sends an email for regular communication but uses a letterhead sent in the post for an acceptance letter.
